Goering, War and the People

"Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger."

-- Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials

DETAILS

Bush vs. Hitler

But the coup by the plutocratic supporters of George W. Bush in the year 2000, coupled with the invasion of Iraq, changed all that, revealing how easily Americans can be manipulated, how willing they are to be lied to, and how vacuous the freedoms of speech and press have become when the bulk of information is filtered through corporate-controlled media that profit from jingoism, propaganda and dishonesty. But, perhaps most disturbingly, these events demonstrated that even though the words "freedom, democracy and human rights" are chanted like mantras by political leaders, many Americans have apparently welcomed, or at the very least are blissfully unconcerned about, the erosion of freedom, the abuse of human rights, and the nation"s growing transformation from a democracy into a neo-fascist dictatorship.

Former British MI5 Agent Says 'Many Similarities' Between London Bombings And 9/11

“To put it politely, there is downright hatred for Bush here on the streets of London. Many Brits feel, as I do, that he led us into this war and is actually responsible for making England a more dangerous place to live now than before the illegal war in Iraq.

The more I look at 9/11, the more I am convinced it was a staged event. I am convinced the U.S. government manipulated events - let it happen – to create a trigger for the invasion of Afghanistan, the invasion of Iraq and of course what they're trying to do now with the imminent invasions of Iran and Syria.

1984, here we come....

Sometimes I just despair of what the fascists are doing to America and think 'what the hell am I writing all this stuff for on this blog? It doesn't make any difference anyway. I mean, even if you alert the whole of America to the measures that they're introducing into American law, it still wouldn't matter, they'll still pass all those orwellian laws to change the country into a police state. Hell, it's already happened. 14 of the 16 provisions of the Patriot Act have now been extended into permanent laws. So much for the sunset provisions that stated that these were temporary measures. Now it looks as though that was never their intention. They just needed an excuse to introduce the measures in the first place and later on they would make them all permanent while nobody was looking, or use the latest bombing in another country to convince the public that these measures are now for their permanent protection.

And what about this new drug law that they want to pass? According to the text, if you hear of someone buying a joint, you are compelled by law to report this fact within 24 hours, otherwise you can be arrested yourself and sent to jail.

It doesn't matter whether you support Bush or not, your first priority needs to be to your civil liberties.

In a country that loudly claims to be the bastion of freedom and democracy, the politicians seem to be feverishly busy trying to confiscate all those freedoms in order to turn the country into a real police state.

I remember all the conspiracy theories doing the rounds all those years ago stating that there was an evil elite running the show right at the top that has a secret plan to gradually turn the United States into a modern-day version of Orwell's 1984. Yeah right, we all thought, those are just crazy paranoid conspiracy theorists. Don't listen to them, they're just completely removed from all reality. That kind of stuff could never happen here.
Yeah right.

Public catching onto dirty deeds

by Bill Gallagher

...Additionally, Rove is a treasonous coward, the most manipulative and cynical political operative since Rasputin. He has brought his political venereal disease to public life and Rove's clap has infected a large segment of the once-respectable Republican Party. He has mainstreamed and brought to national practice his ruthless partisanship, grand diversions and deceptions and, above all, his model of winning elections by using any means necessary to destroy opponents.

..Rove's most sinister deed, so far, is the creation of George W. Bush as a marketable and successful political product. Rove made this turd blossom and the results for our nation and the world are catastrophic.

The Unfeeling President

By E. L. Doctorow

But this president does not know what death is. He hasn't the mind for it. You see him joking with the press, peering under the table for the weapons of mass destruction he can't seem to find, you see him at rallies strutting up to the stage in shirt sleeves to the roar of the carefully screened crowd, smiling and waving, triumphal, a he-man.

He does not mourn. He doesn't understand why he should mourn. He is satisfied during the course of a speech written for him to look solemn for a moment and speak of the brave young Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country.

"Patrick Fitzgerald, Rove Has Got You In His Sights, Take Care"

And then there's the Attorney General who might just be open to a discreet tete-a-tete with Karl about how he can rein in Fitzgerald. After all, Alberto Gonzales is Bush's former attorney as Governor and President. He approved a record number of executions in Texas and signed off on the U.S. becoming a nation that condones torture. He's also number one on Bush's short list for a seat on the Supreme Court. In short, he's a full-fledged Bushevik "made man."

...

Of course, there were no Weapons of Mass Destruction in Iraq. Tens of thousands of people have died as a result. Billions upon billions of our taxpayer dollars that could have been used to improve the lives of our people here in America have been wasted. And all Rove, Bush, Cheney and the GOP can do is defend outing a CIA operative who was trying to prevent the spread of Weapons of Mass Destruction.

...

Bush is giving Rove carte blanche to take no prisoners in his effort to defend the indefensible, because if Rove is prosecuted for his treason, Bush is left without a brain -- and his veneer of credibility shattered beyond repair.

So what do the French and Dutch 'No' votes actually mean for Europe?

By the looks of this article written by a Conservative Member of the European Parliament in the Telegraph, absolutely nothing.
The european constitution is still going to be implemented, whether we like it or not.

Hello? Can someone tell me why the hell we voted for this then?

You may have got the impression that the European constitution was dead - that the French had felled it, and the Dutch had pounded a stake through its heart. If so, think again. The constitution is being implemented, clause by clause, as if the No votes had not happened.

Yet more evidence 9/11 was an inside job

"9/11 was an inside job". There. I've said it. How does that make you feel? Happy because you've been entertained by another crazy gullible conspiracy theorist? Or does it make you feel uneasy because you've been hearing about this theory more and more and maybe, just maybe, it might be true? Or maybe it makes you angry because you see such statements as dangerous terrorist propaganda that's perverting the minds of honest God-fearing americans and convincing them that they need to hate their government at a time of war.

The question of how such a statement makes you feel is irrelevant. The only thing that matters is whether you are going to investigate it for yourself or not. If not, that's fine, but then you can never again comment on such statements until you've looked into it yourself. If you do look into it, then you'll start to uncover some disturbing evidence that the government does not want you to see.

Remember one thing folks: 40 years ago, when JFK was assassinated, the public never had the ability to do the kind of research that we can now. Back then there was no internet. We were fed our daily helping of government propaganda and that's all we had. Our sources of information were limited to a few TV channels, already owned by huge corporations, and some newspapers and magazines, also increasingly controlled by a few companies, and that was it.

Now we have the internet.

That changes everything.

Rove is a criminal! - But where are the headlines????

This is just typical of the MSM. We have here a very serious situation. One that's worthy of every newspaper headline in the country.

From all the different reports that have been coming out in the press, it's now become clear that Rove is the one who leaked Valerie Plame's name to the press in 2003. The blogosphere already knew this when it came out. But the MSM has understandably been rather reluctant to talk about this. Especially when you know the power that Rove yields in Washington. Finally they are talking about it, albeit in ways that still camouflage the degree to which Rove is guilty. CNN, for example, finish their article on it today by quoting White House mouth McClellan as saying that he doesn't want to comment on the situation because the investigation is still ongoing. (Remember the first rule of propaganda-journalism: you can fill the article with elements of the truth but always finish it with your required spin. In this case it's not the first impression but the last one that the reader takes home with them)

So now the situation is this: The chief political advisor of the President of the USA has been caught red-handed committing an act of treason. Literally. After all, you can go to jail for up to 10 years if found guilty of deliberately exposing the identity of someone working for the US intelligence service. (Kind of makes you look bad too huh Dubya?)

So Rove is guilty. We all know that now. Of course, republicans will try to convince us that there is nothing further from the truth but to those of us who have followed this from the very first day, there's no doubting his guilt. Especially when you know how Rove acquired his power in the first place, i.e. by completely screwing over the people who stood in his way, usually in illegal ways. Check out the excellent film "Bush's Brain" for further info.

You would think then that all headlines would be screaming this out on the front pages. Something like: "Presidential Advisor suspected of treason!" or "Whitehouse Guru implicated in Plamegate scandal!" Nothing of it.
Instead we get a non-descript title from our beloved "Be the last to know" CNN: "White House won't comment on Rove and leak investigation"

Your homework for this week:
1. Understand fully the gravity of what Rove has done, how he has harmed the USA.
2. Try to find a single headline in the MSM that conveys the seriousness of this.
Good luck.

London bombings - Netanyahu was warned beforehand...

If the london bombings were a surprise attack from Al-Qaida, then how do we explain the fact that Israeli finance minister Binyamin Netanyahu was warned beforehand that there would be a bomb attack?

I'm not saying islamic fundamentalists are definitely not to blame. We don't know that yet. But we need to scrutinize very carefully any claims by Blair and Bush that it was Al-Qaida who planned and executed this. Look at the evidence yourselves instead of blindly believing what your leaders want you to believe.

Remember, Blair has lost so much credibility due to his decision to support Bush's attack on Iraq that he'll do practically anything to justify that decision now. Blaming these bombings on Al-Qaida would help him regain the understanding and support of the british people.

Also, the Blair government is actively trying to push ID card legislation on a very reluctant British population. Just watch that resistance now melt after these attacks. It'll be just like the US Congress's resistance to the Patriot Act that magically disappeared after the fake anthrax attacks following 9/11.

Bush and his bike - it makes you think

How many times must Bush fall off his bike before people start thinking what the hell this prez is on? That's the third time he's fallen off his bike now. First time was on a Segway scooter in 2003, second time at his own ranch last year and now this.
And don't forget his choking on a pretzel and subsequent fainting in 2002.

I think it's clear that Bush exercises about as much control over the rest of his body as he does over his mouth.
When you consider that the president has a speaking age of about 8 years old (analyse the words and sentences that he comes up with when having to talk without idiot cards and I'm sure you'll come to the same conclusion) and a physical dexterity of about the same level of development, it really makes you wonder what this guy's problem is.

Bush decides to employ Saddam's torturers in Iraq

OK, so let me get this straight. At the beginning of the war we were told that Iraq had to be invaded and conquered because Saddam had lots of very bad weapons that could kill all of us here in the west.

When that turned out to be false the neo-fascists then told us that we had to invade Iraq in order to liberate the brave iraqi people from the brutal oppression of Saddam's evil regime, characterised by his notorious torture chambers and numerous prisons.

And now we hear that the US authorities in Iraq are now employing Saddam's old torturers in order to extract what little information they can from usually innocent iraqi men who have mistakenly been identified as enemy insurgents.

"IRAQI security forces, set up by American and British troops, torture detainees by pulling out their fingernails, burning them with hot irons or giving them electric shocks, Iraqi officials say. Cases have also been recorded of bound prisoners being beaten to death by police."

So Mr Bush, as you are crossing off another item from your list of reasons to tell the US public why we needed to attack Iraq, what's the next one on your list? That war is good for the economy? That war makes men out of boys? Or is it simply that word that starts with O, ends with an L and has an I somewhere in the middle? No surely not. Karl must have told you to delete that one from the beginning, I bet.
